“ Beautiful and tasty food. No hidden nasties such as MSG, yeast extract etc. All fresh and tastes great. The green smoothie tasted really earthy and fresh and the thali was delicious. Topped off with a chocolate and raspberry dessert beautifully presented and really tasty. All felt light on the stomach. You could choose a veggie or vegan option and the service was excellent. As a musician I really also enjoyed the soulful jazz they played. Great taste! ”
“ We visited Mangosteen while staying overnight in Portsmouth and did not regret our decision. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. One of us had the risotto which was 'the best risotto I've ever tasted' and we agreed it was the best meal we've had out in a long time. The crispy kale was a favourite too! The restaurant itself was lovely and perfect for a romantic evening. We will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone! ”
“ Had the most delicious first experience here! I’m vegetarian but went with a vegan friend so we got all vegan and it was amazing! They have veggie options too if you need your dairy fix, but I honestly didn’t miss it. The carbonara was absolutely lovely aswell as everything else, I took it the leftovers home and they were just as nice cold too The service was brilliant, our server was so sweet! We went on the 2-4-1 and couldn’t believe the value but with no compromise on quality! Recommend to everyone. ”
“ Perfect place for vegetarians and vegans. Great tasting food. Have been here twice, two times it was great. Last time, the rest of our party, who are not used to vegetarian food, were pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere gets 4 stars, because both visits we were the only party seated. “ We went to Mangosteen last night for the first time and were blown away. We had been putting it off because we assumed it would be ‘too healthy’ orientated and we feared that it would be a leaving hungry situation. How wrong we were! If you’re on the fence about visiting for this reason take this as your sign to go to Mangosteen immediately! Every single bite touched our souls. The flavour profiles of each dish were so well thought out. From the moment we stepped in and smelled the spices cooking we knew we were in for a treat. My husband is a head chef and he thoroughly approved! I will also add I’ve been vegan for a decade and this goes up there as one of my favourite meals in the last 10 years. I literally cannot wait to return and try the rest of the menu. Id say my favourite dish but all of them were fantastic. It was impeccable. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thank you so much!
